SHARES BEST RAP SONG GRAMMY® AS CO-WRITER OF MEGAN THEE STALLION & BEYONCE’s RIAA PLATINUM GLOBAL CHART-TOPPING “SAVAGE REMIX”

“Sessions confronts racism with a captivating flow that's both acrimonious and awe-inspiring.”

“Bobby Sessions is trying to start a dialogue”

“Wrathful, compelling rap drama about the ongoing distress of being black in America.”

“Sessions is not afraid of the reactions that may come from those who feel the content is too much. It’s an audacious attempt but in a genre that glorifies the money and clout, the message that Sessions is spreading is a much needed statement.”

“Bobby Sessions may not be a household name yet, but he should be. Everything everyone expects from a J. Cole, a Kendrick Lamar, or a Killer Mike, Sessions actually has."

(Mar. 26, 2021 – New York, NY) Revolutionary Dallas rapper Bobby Sessions releases new single “Cog In The Machine,” available today via Def Jam Recordings. This marks Bobby’s new single since winning his first career Grammy Award® for Best Rap Song as co-writer of Megan Thee Stallion & Beyonce’s landmark RIAA platinum “Savage Remix.”

“Cog In The Machine” is produced by AJRuinedMyRecord, J Scalez, & BL$$D and samples Bobby’s favorite N.E.R.D. song “Sooner or Later.” The song serves as a reminder to let go of the version of yourself that was comfortable with settling. “Every young legend must free themselves from the chains of complacency and this song is the anthem for it,” Bobby states.

The song follows up “I’m A King” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, released in February as the lead single from the recent Coming 2 America Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Bobby also released “Made A Way (Remix)” featuring fellow Texas MC Lecrae in January. The original "Made A Way" was featured in EA’s FIFA 2021 interactive game trailer, released in October.

Bobby first won 4-star praise in 2018, for "The Hate U Give," his title track (featuring Keite Young) from the critically acclaimed motion picture’s all-star soundtrack album released on Def Jam.  Prior to that, Sessions had attracted nationwide attention with his first two incendiary singles for the label, "Like Me" and "Pick A Side."

About Bobby Sessions:
On December 31, 2014, Bobby Sessions quit his job to pursue his dream of becoming a recording artist full-time. Exactly one year later, he released his debut indie album the Law Of Attraction (LOA), a passionate and fiery project influenced by the artists he grew up on as a kid from Dallas, Texas - from Jay-Z to James Brown to N.E.R.D. The hunger he has for motivating people through his words can’t be ignored: it’s in each and every song, interview, and performance. A blistering, concentrated lyricist and speaker, the uncompromising Sessions is constantly focused and determined to attract the energy of those around him – whether onstage performing for fans or in the studio focused on his craft. LOA was followed by a second album, grateful, a jazzy, self-aware reminder to be thankful. “Every freedom, every privilege, every great thing happening in our lives, down to your eyesight, each breath... we should put 100% of our energy into being grateful for that,” Sessions said. His 2018 signing to Def Jam Recordings raised his profile with the arrival of "Like Me" and "Pick A Side" early in the year.  In the heat of the Black Lives Matter movement, RVLTN – Chapter 1: The Divided States of AmeriKKKa followed in July, the premiere release in his RVLTN EP series. That same month, the critically acclaimed The Hate U Give film featured his title tune "The Hate U Give" as the centerpiece of the motion picture soundtrack album. In November 2018, Sessions released RVLTN – Chapter 2: The Art of Resistance. Controversy followed with "Level Up," "Made A Way" (heard in the interactive game trailer for EA’s FIFA 2021 video game), and Fight leading to the long-awaited sequel, RVLTN (Chapter 3): The Price of Freedom (released 9/11/20). At the 63rd annual Grammy Awards® on March 14, 2021, Bobby won his first career Grammy® for Best Rap Song as co-writer of Megan Thee Stallion’s landmark RIAA platinum “Savage,” whose remix with Beyoncé topped charts worldwide.
