(Feb. 21, 2012 – New York, NY) Compton rapper YG, who became the music phenom of two summers ago with his landmark “Toot It and Boot It” Def Jam debut single – returns to the charts with a new breakout single, “Snitches Ain’t…” featuring Tyga, Snoop Dogg and Nipsey Hussle that is already Top 10 on Power-106 radio in Los Angeles. The track, available now on iTunes, is set to impact today at all Rhythm radio formats – YG also takes off with Tyga on a massive 44-city cross-country U.S. tour, opening at Masquerade in Atlanta tonight. The 8-week tour wraps up at Daisy Dukes in College Station, TX on April 16th (Please see complete itinerary below.)

“Toot It and Boot It” was nothing short of a musical and cultural breakthrough. The track reached #11 on the Mediabase Rhythmic chart, #11 on Billboard Rap Songs, #12 on Billboard Rhythmic Top 40, and crossed over to #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Songs Chart, and reached nearly half a million iTunes downloads.

YG – which is short for Young Gangsta (aka Keenon Jackson) – career in music started four years ago as a sophomore at Paramount High School. Early recordings turned into mix tapes and club performances, as he soon found himself on the crest of the rebirth of west coast hip hop alongside Kendrick Lamar, Dom Kenndey and Kid Ink. His first mixtape in 2008, 4Fingaz, was followed by The Real 4Fingaz (2010), and Just Re’d Up (2011). His well-traveled MySpace website – http://www.myspace.com/yg400 – has nearly 3 million profile views, and over 11.8 million total plays. He has had collaborations with many of hip hops next superstars including Tyga, Meek Mill, French Montana, and 2 Chainz. In 2010 YG joined an all-star line-up (including Ne-Yo, B.o.B with Bruno Mars, and Snoop Dogg) to perform “Toot It and Boot It” at Power 106’s annual Powerhouse concert. The same year YG caught the ear of Def Jam’s Max Gousse, who signed him to a multi-album deal. YG was also honored by XXL Magazine in 2011 by being featured on their Freshman Class cover, which focuses on 11 of the brightest young and up and coming stars in hip hop.

Working on the completion of his debut album for Def Jam, YG is not looking back. “I’m about to bring the west back and the people can expect me to be always turned up, never turned down. I’m going all the way to the top. I’m taking over the east, the south and everything else.”
