This site carries information about artists currently signed to Def Jam Records, Rocafella records, The Inc Records, and Def Jam South, and their affiliated labels. We do our best to make the information we present as current and complete as possible. Unfortunately, it is often difficult to obtain current information on artists who may have recorded for Def Jam Records, Rocafella records, The Inc Records, and Def Jam South, and their affiliated labels in the past, and who are no longer with the label. An artist can end up recording for multiple labels during the span of their career which makes it even more difficult. You may try contacting your favorite local music retailer.
Any store that sells CDs should be capable of ordering any record in print from our distributor. Most major chain stores have a catalog of records in print listed by artist. That is a good place to start. If you don't have access to a store you can try http://www.amazon.com/, which carries all releases from the Universal Music Group.
You can search this link on google! for http://www.google.com/, or try other finders such as http://www.gemm.com/.
Sorry, we're not able to release personal information regarding our artists beyond what you find on this site.
If you are interested in licensing or using our music for any purpose, please call the publisher for the artist your are interested in licensing.

There are some MP3s on individual artists' sites, but there's no central page for all MP3s (yet).
Clicking an MP3 link on this site should just throw up a prompt to save the .mp3 file where you wish. If you have installed Windows Media player it may try to play the file directly rather than allowing you to save it. You should go into your browser options and change this. In Netscape go Edit: Preferences: Navigator: Applications - scroll until you find "MPEG Audio" - highlight this and click "Edit." In the "Handled by" section of the window you can select "Save it to disk" or designate the application of your choice to open the file. In Explorer, go Tools: Internet Options: Advanced: Multimedia, and uncheck the "Play Sounds" box.
Read the above paragraph and do the same thing on the Mac. Most likely QuickTime (when you installed) took over all media types. Find "MPEG Audio" and edit the settings to remove QuickTime as its default handler.

This site is a rich multimedia site and requires certain multimedia helper applications or 'plug-ins' to access all audio, video, and animated materials. Installing a plug-in requires a download to your computer and configuring the plug-in in your web browser. Def Jam sites make extensive use of media files that require plug-ins including: the Real Player from Real Networks, the Windows Media Player from Microsoft, Shockwave and Shockwave Flash from Macromedia, and QuickTime from Apple Computer. These plug-ins are all downloadable from the links in this paragraph or the graphic icons in the upper left of this page.
