Pusha T recently chopped it up with Rob Markman of MTV News and he spoke on how it was to work with Kendrick Lamar, what his reaction was to hearing Kendrick’s verse on, “Nose-stalgia” & more.
I felt it was really dope that Kendrick hopped in my world of street life and his perspective on it. Once I heard his verse I was like, ok, he’s giving me the project windows or how it affected my home. So I was like, ok, boom, I gotta give the perspective of where I was at at the time.
I felt his last bars were him saying, I’m myself. I can dibble dabble over here, but I can still show you that this is myself. This is me, who I am. And he really showed out.
