It was Julie Greenwald’s teaming up of Redman & Method Man in a Def Jam “Month of the Man” sales promotion in 1994 that led to the pair’s creative partnership. Although Red was affiliated with Erick Sermon’s Def Squad and Meth with Staten Island’s Wu-Tang Clan, the two hit it off on the road and ended up co-writing “How High” a resin-soaked gem that was one of the highlights of the soundtrack to The Show in 1995.
