MY KRAZY LIFE, a hard-hitting collection of songs, features California rapper YG breaking down the intricacies of SoCal living, including the strip club anthem, “Left, Right” featuring DJ Mustard. The album was executive produced by Jeezy, and produced by Grammy®-nominated producer DJ Mustard, who has helmed several of YG’s biggest hits as well as cuts for 2 Chainz (“I’m Different”), Jeezy (“R.I.P.”), TY Dolla $ign (“Paranoid”), among others. When asked about the inspiration
for MY KRAZY LIFE, YG replied, “It’s the world. My music is L.A.” MY KRAZY LIFE is a coming-of-age musical compilation of past life experiences that have greatly influenced YG’s music. He chose to release the album on March 18th, the day before his five year anniversary of being jailed for flocking, to represent his journey and growth as an artist since then. MY KRAZY LIFE is a collaboration between Pu$haz Ink and Jeezy’s Atlanta-based CTE label. The relationship came to fruition after Jeezy came to Los Angeles and witnessed the movement that YG and DJ Mustard had created with their new West Coast rap sound. Since then, Jeezy has taken YG under his wing, establishing a mentorship that played a dynamic role in influencing the direction of the album.
YG’s career in music started five years ago in high school when he discovered his passion for rapping. Using just a mic and minimal recording equipment, he began his journey to success by releasing popular mixtapes and performing at neighborhood house parties in Los Angeles. Working alongside his long-time producer DJ Mustard, the duo quickly carved their own lane in music as the pioneers of a new West Coast rap movement made popular by YG’s independent label known as Pu$haz Ink and the release of multiple mixtapes. Those mixtapes were the manifestations of YG and DJ Mustard’s unique and cutting edge sound that caught radio, record labels and fans by storm.
YG was seen by audiences across the country in 2012 and 2013 on mammoth tours with Yo Gotti (a 43 city U.S. tour) and Mac Miller (a 24 city US tour). He also headlined his own tours in support of his independent mixtapes Just Re’d Up and 4Hunnid Degreez. As he completed work on MY KRAZY LIFE, YG was not looking back. The now platinum recording artist recounts on his journey thus far, “I’m blessed, shout out to all my fans who copped the record and helped get it to platinum! We got many more to come!”

Def Trends shows which of our artists are generating the most activity on the web right now.
The points next to each artist represent a comment, post, tweet, etc. As those comments get older, they are worth less. A comment posted right now would be worth 1 point, but over time it loses it's value.
